EXCURSION DISCLAIMER
If you want to reach the highest accessible part of Etna this could be the tour for you. We will pick you up with our vehicles at 9:00 from your facility or from a meeting point easier for you and we will go up to the south side of Etna up to 2000 meters above sea level.
We will climb them on board the cable car to reach 2500 meters; boarding Unimog 4x4 vehicles you will reach 3000 meters. Walking along the edge of smoking but now extinct craters born during the 2002-03 activity with the volcanological guide you will be able to admire the most important volcanological and naturalistic aspects and a wonderful panorama just a few steps from the central crater.
Stop for a lunch break with a light lunch based on an appetizer and a first course. The tour will continue with a visit to a lava flow cave.With protective helmets and torches, inside we will see all the typical characteristics of a lava tunnels and the traditional use of grottos and the legends related to them will be explained. At list, the excursion will end with a honey tasting typical of Zafferana Etna village and a panoramic view of the Bove valley, a gigantic depression on the east side of Etna.

● Return to your accomodation.
